Friend – I write to you today, not as an actor or a former (fictional) president, but as an American concerned about losing our Democratic Senate majority: Donald Trump just left Nevada where he held a MAGA rally to defeat Sen. Catherine Cortez Masto (D) in the race that will decide Senate control.
If Trump tips the scales in favor of his hand-picked extremist, Adam Laxalt (R) – if they defeat Sen. Cortez Masto – then Democrats will lose the Senate and Mitch McConnell will regain his iron grip on power.
I refuse to sit on the sidelines and watch our country return to dark days where truth was thwarted by lies and conspiracies and where the selfish interests of deranged extremists reigned supreme. That's why I need you to join me in fighting back against Trump and helping Sen. Cortez Masto protect this seat and our majority.

I've been an activist my entire life, friend. I've witnessed moments where people came together by the thousands, by the millions, to usher in great progress for this nation.
But I've also seen the consequences when not enough people rise to the urgency of the moment before them – and right now I can say to you with confidence that we've never faced a more urgent, more important, midterm election.
If Republicans flip the one seat they need to retake control – if they flip this seat – they will usher in an era of zero bodily autonomy for women, of further attacks on voting and free and fair elections, of turning a blind eye to climate change. They will roll out the red carpet for the return of the impeached former president.
It's why Donald Trump himself flew all the way to Nevada to hold one of his infamous, dangerous MAGA rallies: to defeat Catherine Cortez Masto and begin his return to power. We must do everything we can to stop him, and that means ensuring Catherine has the resources to fight back and win.
