One of my biggest priorities this election is to make sure that Western Iowa has the representation it deserves.
That’s why I’m reaching out to you personally, John . I want to highlight two candidates that are facing very tough races and could really use our support: Steve Hansen and Josh Turek.
Born and raised in Siouxland, State Rep. Steve Hansen has been a loyal and hardworking public servant for Western Iowans with 18 years of experience in the Capitol in multiple elected positions. He always puts his constituents first and foremost, listens to their concerns and then gets to work on their behalf. Because of redistricting, Steve’s facing the toughest race of his career and he could really use our support right now.
Josh Turek is a three-time medalist for the U.S. Paralympics and a lifelong Iowan who is 100 percent dedicated to improving the lives of his neighbors in Council Bluffs. One of my heroes Senator Tom Harkin recently endorsed Josh and had this to say about him:
“He’s got true grit not only physically by what he’s done with his life, but after listening to him, he’s also got moral true grit, intellectual true grit.”
We could sure use some folks with grit in the legislature. Folks who will fight like hell for working families. Folks who will stand up to corporate special interests that are squeezing the middle class and small businesses.
I’ve got a BIG October election goal. I want to raise $2,000 each for Josh and Steve as we head into the final month of the election. Will you split a contribution of $20.22 between our campaigns for the Iowa State House? [[link removed]]
