We are two weeks out from the start of Early Voting for the General Election! Here's what has been happening in TX-38 over the last week.   The TX-38 Weekly Week of October 5th to October 11th Dear Supporter- We are two weeks out from the start of Early Voting for the General Election. Early Voting begins on October 24th and runs through November 4th. Election Day is Tuesday, November 8th. In TX-38 we are running a race against an “Absent Opponent”, who seems to spend more time out of state then in the 38th Congressional District. This is one of the most detrimental aspects of gerrymandering. Republicans drew a congressional district to gift to Wesley Hunt and as a result, he does not feel like he has any obligation to spend time in the district or participate in a debate to justify his views. With over 20 years living and working in the 38th Congressional District, I know the joys and struggles of the people who live in our district. We need a representative with deep roots in the community. To get our message out, this week we are focusing on getting our yard signs in place across the district. If you have a yard sign from the Primary, now is a good time to put it back out. If you would like a yard sign, you can sign up for one at duncanfortexas.com and we will bring it to you. Thank you as always for all your support, Duncan Houston Chronicle Endorsement I am excited to announce that I have received the Houston Chronicle endorsement in the race for the new 38th Congressional District. Here is a link to read the full article: Editorial: We recommend Duncan Klussmann in 38th Congressional District Our campaign is focusing on the core issues of the day in our district: ensuring school safety, restoring women’s reproductive rights, proactively addressing flooding, reducing inflation, and decreasing crime. I am the candidate that can bring people together to get things done, just as I did as Superintendent of Schools. This Week’s Volunteer Opportunities This is a grassroots campaign, and I could not have made it this far without your help.
