Biden Admits "slight recession" Could Happen
President Biden was finally able to admit that the U.S. economy is headed in the wrong direction. In an interview with CNN’s Jake Tapper, Biden conceded that the economy could be heading toward a “slight recession,” even though it already is in one. Biden had to be pushed by Tapper in order to reveal this though, and initially told him that he didn’t believe there would be a recession. He said, “Look, they’ve been saying this now-every six months they say this, every six months, they look down at the next six months and see what’s gonna happen. It hadn’t happened yet.” He later added, a recession is “just not there.”
