The election season can bring out the worst in people. The vicious attack ads. The misleading campaign messaging. The desperate smear attempts.
I’m seeing the despicable attacks from Gov. Reynolds, and now I’m seeing them from Republican Brenna Bird. In case you didn’t know, Steve King’s former chief of staff Brenna Bird is running for Iowa's Attorney General.
Brenna’s latest attack ad is right from Steve King’s playbook. Stoke fear. Attack marginalized groups of people. Deceive voters.
Look, Democrats and Republicans don’t have to agree on every issue. But all of this tearing people down, spreading vicious lies and pitting people against each other is just not good for Iowa. It’s not good for any of us.
Attorney General Tom Miller has always served Iowa’s best interests. He doesn’t care about playing partisan political games, or whether you’re a Republican or a Democrat. Tom fought for accountability when Big Pharma tore communities apart with opioid addiction. And he fought to make sure Iowa families weren’t victims of scams.
