The House of Representatives’ Respect for Marriage Act Seeks to Censor Free Speech

Last July, the House of Representatives passed Congressman Jerrold Nadler’s bill, the Respect for Marriage Act. Intended to repeal the 1996 law, Defense of Marriage Act, the bill would permit the attorney general and private citizens to bring civil action against Americans who define marriage as a union between one man and one woman.

Katie Hobbs, the Democrat candidate for Arizona Governor, has some skeletons in her closet. The Daily Mail uncovered photographic evidence that she helped run an event titled “slave day,” where students would auction their younger peers off as slaves to do degrading tasks. Hobbs’ yearbook photos showed that she was on student council and helped plan the “spirit week” event. The event involved freshman “slaves” following orders from their senior “masters.” One of the photos even showed one student holding a leash around another student’s neck.
