Happy Indigenous Peoples' Day, John!
Today, I want to share a message on the resistance and resilience of Indigenous people that manifest in the young people leading us now. The same resistance and resilience that has allowed me, a young Black Indigenous leader from the Oneida Nation of Wisconsin & Lac Courte Oreilles Band, to be where I am today. The Alliance is a nationwide network of youth organizations that creates and inspires a more just and equitable country every single day. I see the resistance and resilience of young people of color within our network as they organize towards access to higher education, abortion access, holding government institutions accountable for failing Black and Brown communities, and much more.
To celebrate Indigenous Peoples’ Day, I am inviting you to join me in supporting Indigenous communities. Join the movement to stop violence against native women [[link removed]] and support these Indigenous-led groups with a donation:

Every Indigenous Peoples’ Day is a call to action for allies and co-conspirators to uplift the Indigenous community and shine a light on the crisis we live in daily. If you are privileged enough to have Indigenous Peoples’ Day as a day off, I encourage you to take some time today to learn more about Indigenous issues and take action.
In solidarity,
Dakota Hall
Executive Director
