Dear John,
Sabrina from TakeAction here.
2020 is a census year. The data we get from the U.S. Census determines everything from how much federal funding our state gets to how many representatives we send to Washington D.C.
Minnesota today is more diverse and populous than ever before. But, because the Trump Administration is actively working to sabotage the Census count, we may be on track for a historic undercount – particularly of low-income folks, immigrants and people of color, renters, babies, and people experiencing homelessness.
Sign up for an info session to learn how you can make sure everybody counts. Our partners are holding a session at TakeAction in St. Paul on January 6th and CTUL in Minneapolis on January 7th. Not in the Twin Cities? Let us know on this form and we’ll follow up with you.

We are Minnesota and we deserve to be counted.
Right now, in Minnesota, the Census has received applications for only one-third of the 38,000 positions who will count our community members. If we don’t fill these positions, it could cost us billions in federal funding, an entire congressional seat, and lead to harmful policy decisions for decades to come.
The good news is that we can easily incorporate Census work into what we’re already doing as a community.
It’s time to act powerfully together. Sign up right now to learn how you can get involved in making sure everyone is counted.

We need to count every last person in Minnesota. Not every last citizen, registered voter, household, or even adult. But every last person.
It’s going to take everybody to count everybody. If you have any questions, reply to this email.
Onward,
Sabrina Mauritz
Organizing Director
