She’s up for re-election in one of the swingiest swing states there is. Powerful interests and national Republicans have dumped tens of millions of dollars into trying to defeat her. And the latest polls show her Republican opponent ahead by just a few points.

We can count on Catherine Cortez Masto to fight for families — and we need to keep her voice in Washington.

When the housing bubble burst, she stood up to the big banks and fought for Nevada homeowners as the state’s attorney general. In the Senate, we recently teamed up to take on so-called “crisis pregnancy centers,” which use misleading marketing to lure in women seeking abortions and then try to scare patients out of accessing the care they need. And if we make sure she wins a second term, she’ll continue to be a champion for our values.

Her Republican opponent, Adam Laxalt, is a whole other story. He co-chaired Donald Trump’s campaign in Nevada. He fought to overturn the state’s election results in 2020. And he called Roe v. Wade a “joke” after spending time as attorney general supporting abortion restrictions around the country.

We can’t let him win this race and pave the path for a Republican Senate. We’ve got to help Catherine Cortez Masto fight back in these final, powerfully important weeks of the election.
