DALLAS, TX – Today I called on President Biden to address his alarming comments to a room full of Democrat donors regarding "nuclear armageddon." The American people, not just Democrat donors, deserve to be reassured that our leaders are taking the necessary steps to ensure their safety. I joined my Republican colleagues on Thursday urging President Biden to reject California's extreme plan to ban gas-powered vehicles. The proposed ban sets a dangerous precedent that goes beyond state lines: Americans across the country rely on these vehicles to get to work, visit family, and keep supply chains running. Our letter makes it clear we support our oil and gas industry and the right for Americans to choose their own vehicle. You can read our entire letter here.

I joined the Irving Police Department on their National Night Out this week. Our safe streets and thriving communities are all thanks to the hard working men and women in blue. Please join me in thanking them for their unmatched service to North Texas!

I enjoyed speaking to the government students at Newman Smith High School about the functions of Congress and how my colleagues and I pass legislation through the House. It is so important to ensure the next generation is informed on how our government operates so they can uphold their civic duties in the near future.

It was a privilege to present the Congressional Silver Award to Beomjun, a North Texas student with a bright future ahead of him. Keep up the great work, Beomjun!

I had the opportunity to meet with the folks from Austin Industries, one of the largest construction companies in the country, which is located right here in Texas' 24th District.

I met with Authentix, a tech company in Addison doing important work protecting our supply chains. I am committed to ensuring our supply chains are stronger than ever. Last year, I passed crucial legislation that identifies critical security weaknesses in our supply chains so intelligence agencies can effectively address them. You can read more here

I enjoyed touring Glazer's Beer and Beverage and hearing about their operation in North Texas.

I also enjoyed touring Insperity – a Human Resources company in North Texas – and meeting with their staff to hear about the work they do for small businesses across the country.
