My friend Tim Ryan tells me his campaign has hit a fundraising slump that they cannot seem to break out of, John, and that spells trouble.
GOP super PACs are swarming because they smell chum in the water, and they see an opportunity to boost JD’s sinking campaign, now that Tim’s lead has all but dried up.
Mark my words: we won’t have a chance in hell to expand our Senate majority if we cannot keep Tim’s campaign afloat. Tim’s got the narrowest of leads in the polls, but JD’s rich backers won’t go down without a fight.
If your ship doesn’t come in, John, you’ve got to swim out and meet it—so can I count on you to have Tim’s back by chipping in $25 right now, split with Blue South, to combat the super PAC feeding frenzy?
They say “a rising tide lifts all boats,” and that couldn’t be more true if it were written specifically about Democrats’ Senate prospects this year.
Tim winning in Ohio would help all our Democratic candidates, because he’s drawing Mitch McConnell’s attention (and wallet) to the Buckeye State, and to a race that he’d long thought he had in the bag.
Expanding our Democratic Senate majority won’t be easy, but if we win in Ohio, it’s not just possible—it’s damn-near guaranteed.
So what do you say, John? Will you join me in supporting Tim by splitting $25 with his campaign and Blue South? Winning this race and flipping Ohio blue won’t be easy, but I promise you it will be worth it.
