As I gather with my family and friends around the menorah this year, I’m reflecting on all the light that each of you have brought into the world during a time of challenge and strife.

My dear friends, I wanted to write you a quick note to wish you a joyful holiday season. As I gather with my family and friends around the menorah this year, I’m reflecting on all the light that each of you have brought into the world during a time of challenge and strife. Because what is the fight for justice and freedom if not a celebration of light prevailing over darkness? Renewed in body and spirit, I plan to charge into 2020 side-by-side with each of you, our 2.5 million NARAL Pro-Choice America members, ready to take action and build the world we deserve. I am planning for a bright future, where reproductive freedom is not only the law of the land, but abortion access is a reality for all our neighbors — no matter where they live or how much money they make. The stakes are high. But our hopes are higher. Our plans are bigger. And our truth rings louder: Everyone deserves to determine for themselves when, whether, and how to build a family.
