My extremely partisan opponent just yesterday purchased $200,000 in Portland televisions ads. And we expect her to buy more. While my team and I do not believe that spending on TV in Portland is the highest and best use of funds, it will help my opponent. We know from polling that Oregon voters much prefer my profile as a small business owning working mom seeking to bring balance to an agency that has lacked it for decades, to the detriment of businesses and workers across the state, compared to my opponent’s profile as a left-wing, anti-business extremist Portland lawyer. But we need more funds to ensure voters know my profile – and how it contrasts with my opponent’s.
