Friend,

Writing to you from our house in Austin as we take a little break for Christmas -- and in a rare moment of quiet, I wanted to take the opportunity to connect with you.

Our house is as decked out as we could make it between work and the campaign. The stockings are up and we managed to get the tree decorated. We attempted to get our dog Hadley to pose with a Santa hat on for this email but this was the best we could come up with.

Whether or not you observe the holiday, I hope that you are able to relax and spend time with the people most important to you. You have done so much for our movement this year, and I truly cannot thank you enough.

After Christmas and the New Year, I’ll be back out on the road again to visit every one of the thirteen counties in the district. And I know that just like the many times I’ve crisscrossed the district before, we will have the opportunity to meet incredible people who come out to meet us, ask questions, share their ideas, and become key leaders in their communities for this campaign.

I've never been more hopeful that we can create the change we need and make our public institutions work at every level for those in need. We've done amazing things together, and I look forward to all we can continue to accomplish in the new year.

Sincerely,

Julie
