White House Conference on Hunger, Nutrition, and Health

We were honored to have three 4-H'ers Avani Rai (Illinois), Jayden Ingalls (Texas), and Sruthi Sudarsan (California) attend the White House Conference on Hunger, Nutrition, and Health on September 28. The historic gathering brought together government officials, non-profit leaders, business leaders, educators, and students all committed to ending hunger and nutrition insecurity in our country.

Highlights included Avani's fireside chat with Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff and Ambassador Susan Rice, meet and greets with 4-H alum Lazarus Lynch and Senator Bill Frist, selfies with chef and humanitarian José Andrés, and conversations with Dr. Sara Bleich, USDA's Director of Nutrition Security and Health Equity for the Food and Nutrition Service.
