That means taking on Trump and his horde of ultra-MAGA acolytes. That means taking on the massive corporations who try to secretly fund their blatant attacks on our democracy. Now we’ve got another Fortune 500 company that thinks it can put profits over democracy and enable authoritarianism without consequence. LG Electronics is currently carrying Russian propaganda outlets RT News and Newsfront on their content store. 

RT and Newsfront are mouthpieces for the Kremlin and have been under U.S. sanctions since April 2021. They’ve spread lies and conspiracies justifying Russia’s belligerent and murderous war in Ukraine. Now, LG is allowing them to target audiences here in the United States. 

Imagine someone watching Tucker Carlson rant against the United States supporting Ukraine in its fight against Russia. And then flipping to RT News and watching them parrot the exact same dangerous propaganda. 

The midterms are just 34 days away. We can’t afford to have Russian propaganda outlets spewing lies to American audiences ever, but certainly not this close to Election Day. 

We need to call out LG for blatantly enabling authoritarianism. Add your name to our petition demanding that LG Electronics pull RT and Newsfront from their content store.
