Join NextGen America’s Virtual Volunteer Team
Direct, personal contact with voters is the single most influential factor in determining which party or candidate wins an election, and NextGen’s virtual distributed volunteer team is the place to be to empower the youth vote. We have millions of young voters to reach out to before Election Day, and we need volunteer help to do so.
NextGen’s distributed team allows anyone with an internet connection to get involved by mobilizing millions of young people in our key states. We have three teams that volunteers can join: Call Team, Text Team, and Social Team. All of these teams have the same goals: Registering and turning out voters and advocating for the issues young people care most about.
Our Call Team and Text Team offer traditional campaign volunteer opportunities, during which volunteers phonebank and textbank young voters with a list we provide and a pre-written script. After volunteers pass a short training and onboarding process, they make calls or send batches of text messages and keep up with replies. Whether you’re a seasoned volunteer or new to volunteering, we have everything volunteers need to get started!
Our Social Team is another opportunity to reach young people where they’re at — social media! If volunteers want to make TikToks, memes, link drop, and more, we’ll get you trained on next steps.
