At the end of September, the United States officially reached over 500 shootings in which four or more people have been injured or killed. Last week alone, we had two more shootings near schools where four or more people were injured or killed. When does it end?
While our elected officials wait around to pass critical gun safety legislation, senseless gun violence continues to rise. Right now, our Senators have the chance to pass an Assault Weapons Ban but they haven’t even taken a vote on it. At this point, taking war weapons off our streets is the bare minimum we can demand to stop the bloodshed.

We do not need weapons of war in our communities, especially as gun violence incidents continue to rise.
