Is that the jingling of bells I can hear?

Dear John,

I am writing to wish you and your loved ones a very merry Christmas.

This year has been one of ups and downs for many people in this wonderful country that we live in.

As we head into the holiday break, I find myself thinking of the thousands of people working together, helping each other, to combat the fires that are burning across Australia. They are a fine example to all of us. One I will be reflecting on as I spend time with my family and friends over the next few days.

I will also be thinking of you and your continued support this year as I stepped back into my role in the Australian Senate.

Without your support I would not be where I am, fighting for our shared values and for serious reform in the ways we look after those who are most vulnerable in our society.

For me, I feel lucky to say, Christmas is a day spent with family.

I hope however you are celebrating Christmas, you will have some time to relax and to reflect back on a year well spent.

Let us look forward to 2020 together with clear eyes and hope as we walk forward into a new decade.

Yours with love,
Jacqui

P.S. This big boy is also wishing you a very merry Christmas.
