Folks, we know a lot of fundraising emails are over the top. That’s why we’re not telling you we’re “crushed” or “devastated.” We’re not “throwing in the towel” or “begging” you for donations.

But we are honestly telling you that how much we raise in this final month before Election Day is really, really important.

We wouldn’t say make-or-break unless we meant it, friends.

Since day one, this campaign has shattered expectations. But there’s still some skepticism about whether a gay woman minister can win as a Democrat in Western North Carolina because it’s never happened before.

Jasmine can win, and with the resources to support our organizing efforts, she will. She’s connecting with voters in every corner of the district who are ready for a new leader who listens deeply and delivers results.

But there are still people who want to write off her success as a fluke. They’re watching our race closely to decide if we’ve got what it takes to go the distance. We know we do, but we just need the resources to prove it.
