With Christmas coming up and the year coming to an end, I wanted to share with you some of my reflections from the past twelve months. What a year it was!
We began with a very productive legislative session. It is an honor and a privilege whenever I can help secure funding and support for farmers, ranchers, and rural Coloradans. This year we got $10 million extra for the water plan and additional support for high-tech equipment for our family farms.
There’s so much more to be done in legislative session starting January 8th, 2020. From protecting our water rights to improving our roads to supporting our schools, this year’s session will be very important. I’m reminded of this every day when I drive on our roads and visit our rural schools. We’ve got to make sure those folks in Denver don’t forget about us and our rights!
As Christmas gets closer, I am reminded of the importance of family and community. Fighting for my community is what drives my public service, and having a loving family to celebrate the holidays with makes it all worthwhile.
