Crunch Time

This is the election that determines abortion access in our state. If we do not maintain a veto-proof minority in the state legislature we will see Republicans overturn our right to access abortions in January. North Carolina is the primary access point for abortions in the entire southeast. Our elections will determine abortion access for the entire region.

Early Vote starts on October 20th. We have 36 days until November 8th and the election that determines abortion access in North Carolina.

We are asking you to commit to volunteering for a Lillian's List Targeted Featured Candidate one of the next five weekends that we have until elections. Our Targeted Featured Candidates are running in the districts that will determine the makeup of the NC General Assembly. These are the most competitive seats, these are the candidates who need you. You can sign up to volunteer for some of our Targeted Featured Candidates below!

These six candidates need all hands on deck to make calls, knock on doors, or even poll-greet when voting starts. There are virtual and in-person options! Most of the volunteering takes place outside and we have candidates all over NC. If you are interested in pitching in and lending a hand here are the sites for you to sign up and volunteer!

  • Sen. Sydney Batch (Wake County)
  • Mary Wills Bode (Wake and Granville)
  • Rep. Linda Cooper-Suggs (Wilson County)
  • Valerie Jordan (Coastal NC Counties)
  • Marcia Morgan (New Hanover)
  • Diamond Staton-Williams (Cabarrus)

Will you commit to protecting abortion access this November?

We had so much fun celebrating our 25th Anniversary! We had three events including our first-ever Day of Action. We were so excited to have volunteers participate across NC for our Featured Candidates. We made a total of 760 outreaches to voters! We're so proud of our volunteers and we are looking forward to more events that will raise the profile of Lillian's List in our communities.

We also want to send one more congratulations to Rep. Julie von Haefen and Sen. Gladys Robinson for winning the Jan Allen Courage Award. Lastly, we want to thank so many of our Featured Candidates for joining us at Lead With Lillian!
