Dear Supporter-

I entered the race for the new 38th Congressional District because I feel
that gerrymandering is killing our democracy. When lawmakers in Austin draw
districts to hand to one party or another, candidates only have to focus on
the 5% of registered voters that vote in Primary Elections. In Texas, only
3 out of 38 congressional districts are drawn to be competitive. That is
just wrong!

The 38th Congressional District was drawn to gift to Trump extremist Wesley
Hunt, and I don’t think any Congressional District should be gifted to
anyone. I am running to turn the Austin career politician’s plan on its
head.

Our campaign is focusing on the core issues of the day, ensuring school
safety, restoring women’s reproductive rights, proactively addressing
flooding, reducing inflation, and decreasing crime. The bottom-line is
nothing gets done in Washington without building coalitions and
compromising to produce results.

This is a grassroots campaign, and I could not have done this without your
help. We are now closing on the final month of the campaign and your
support is never more important. Below are several opportunities to
volunteer this weekend (click on the links below for registration and
meeting location information). Placing a Door Hanger on the doors of
targeted voters is the main focus of our Block Walks.
