We just got word that Republican politicians are spending $1.1 MILLION on TV ads to support their extremist candidates for the state legislature.

Their investment includes nearly $330,000 to promote Jake Chapman, Republican President of the Iowa Senate who, made national headlines for introducing a bill that would criminally prosecute and even jail teachers. They’re spending the same amount to prop up Mike Bousselot, who wrote the plan to privatize Medicaid in Iowa and violated state ethics rules by holding secret meetings with lobbyists.
