Friend--,

Imagine a New York where everyone has a home they can afford. A New York where every kid goes to a great school and our state is a shining example of green energy and great jobs.

This is the New York we are fighting for. And to win it, we need to take on the billionaires who have gotten rich by hiking up rents, burning the planet, and exploiting workers.

Billionaires drive inequality for their own personal profits. They rig the economy in their favor and profit off of the homelessness crisis, the climate crisis, and the opioid crisis. Then, they use their outsized political influence to demand tax breaks, and publicly-funded subsidies on top of it. Who’s left footing the bill? Working people like you and me.

In 2020, we’re demanding a massive investment in the people of our state and our future—- a homes guarantee, a green new deal, fully funded schools, and free college.

And we’re demanding that billionaires be held to account for exploiting workers, tenants, students and the planet by paying for the things we need.

It may sound like a pipe-dream, but I’ve seen organizing bring the impossible to life: a $15 minimum wage, the strongest package of rent protections in decades, landmark regulations on dirty buildings in New York City, and so many more victories.

The past ten years have taught me that when we make big demands, we can take on real estate, fossil fuels, the prison industrial complex, and the largest corporations in the country and win.

A New York where everyone's basic needs are met shouldn't seem impossible. Together, we can win. And it starts with making billionaires pay.
