Friend, with the new school year fully underway for my kids, it reminded me of my own school days.

When I was growing up, I had a teacher who played a huge role in my upbringing: Mrs. Martha Luten.

She was my high school algebra teacher.

She was always so encouraging and made sure we as students knew she believed in us.

She was one of those teachers who represented the best of the profession.

Because she spoke not only to our minds but to our hearts as well.

Each day, I remember Mrs. Martha Luten and think about all the other educators who are also making a difference in our children’s lives. 

That’s why in Congress I am tirelessly working for our teachers and our children.

But Republicans are threatening to undo all the work we’ve done from education to health care. They’re making me their top target to defeat and sending Donald Trump down to Georgia to hold rallies for my opponent, Herschel Walker.

I won’t back down from fighting for what’s right and doing the job Georgians sent me to Congress to do. But I need your help to keep Georgia blue. So please, before midnight: Will you rush $5 to defend our Democratic majority?
