As a public school teacher for over 30 years, I have dedicated my career to championing public education and standing up for my students and their families. That’s why I refuse to sit back and watch as Republican politicians in our state demean our teachers and attack our public education system.

Our public schools are already struggling to cope with teacher shortages thanks to Kim Reynolds’ historic workforce crisis. Iowa Republicans’ insistence on promoting school vouchers that would siphon funds away from our public schools will only further harm working families in our district.
