In just a moment, I’m going to ask you to make a contribution to my re-election campaign ahead of our end-of-quarter deadline. [[link removed]] But first, I hope you will give me a chance to explain why this request is so important, especially today.

Next week marks our final quarterly fundraising deadline before the election. After we close the books, our team will compile a report to send to the Federal Election Commission, and shortly after, those numbers will be made public for everyone to see.

This may seem like just another deadline, but I’m really proud of this report and what it says about our campaign — it shares more than just how much we’ve raised over the last three months. More importantly, it shares how many folks are with us in the final weeks ahead of this election.

You know, I got into politics to make a real difference in our community by fighting for the issues that matter most — making quality health care more affordable, protecting our environment against climate change, improving the quality of our public schools, and more. Folks like you supported me because you wanted to make a difference, too — and our FEC report is a direct reflection of that.

Together, we’ve made incredible progress over the last two years, but as I’m sure you know, we have so much work still ahead of us. Republicans will stop at nothing to flip our majority and stop our progress. But I know with this incredible team by my side, we can continue making the progress North Carolinians are counting on.
