Jen Jordan - Democrat for Georgia Attorney General

John,

My opponent, Chris Carr, was interviewed by 11Alive News last week and finally was forced to go on the record about our state's abortion ban. Carr bluntly stated that he wants to prosecute healthcare practitioners, while scoffing at the very real concerns that women who seek abortions might also be prosecuted.

H.B. 481 (Georgia's abortion ban) has a "fetal personhood" statute that makes pregnant women vulnerable to investigation and prosecution for anything from child abuse to homicide. So when Carr says it's "preposterous" to think that women are in legal jeopardy, he's lying.

I can promise you this, John: when I am elected Attorney General, I will fight to protect our doctors and ensure women continue to receive the essential, quality care they deserve — free from fear of unjust prosecution. Will you donate $10 to help me defeat Chris Carr? With seven weeks left to go, we need every bit of support we can get.

At a time when Georgians are worried about rising crime and a failing healthcare system, Carr's biggest priority is throwing doctors in jail.

He's been vocal for years about his desire to dismantle reproductive rights, and he's used taxpayer money to promote his views. He's on the record as supporting an abortion ban even more restrictive than HB 481 — with no exceptions for rape or incest.

Carr's words this weekend were callous, but also completely on brand. Politicians like him view women as second-class citizens, and think they have nothing to fear at the ballot box. I'm going to prove Chris Carr wrong.

Voters deserve to see the strong contrast that I offer, and we need the resources to make our case in these final seven weeks. So please, click here to donate whatever you can to my campaign → https://secure.actblue.com/donate/jenjordan_em

Thank you,

Jen

Democratic State Senator Jen Jordan (pronounced Jer-Dun) has spent her legal career fighting for Georgians. Because of her real-life experience in the courtroom and out of it, Jen knows that now, more than ever, we need an Attorney General who will take a stand and fight for the rights of each and every Georgian.
