Since the 2020 election, voter suppression tactics have gone into overdrive. But remember: They wouldn’t be trying so hard to stop us from voting if our votes didn’t matter. Those in power trying to silence us are afraid of the collective power we wield when we show up to vote. We will not let them win.
As people of faith, we have a duty to cherish and protect each other and to fight until the dignity we all deserve is affirmed in every aspect of our lives.
Voting is an indispensable part of how we show up for one another, especially Black and Brown communities that have been systemically and historically disenfranchised. Our faith demands action! Let’s RISE + VOTE!
Desde las elecciones del 2020, las tácticas de opresión electoral están a toda marcha. Pero recuerde: No estarían tratando tanto de impedir que votemos si nuestros votos no fueran importantes. Los que están en el poder tratando de silenciarnos le tienen miedo al poder colectivo que ejercemos cuando nos presentamos a votar. No dejaremos que ganen.
Como personas de fe, tenemos el deber de apreciar y protegernos unos a otros y de luchar hasta que la dignidad que todos merecemos se afirme en cada aspecto de nuestras vidas.
