,

Tomorrow is a very important day for our family. On September 19, 2010, my husband Brian Mast was blown up by a Taliban IED while serving our nation in Afghanistan.

Brian was working as a bomb technician clearing a path for his fellow soldiers when the last explosive he discovered detonated directly beneath him. Even though he would lose two legs and a part of his hand, I am grateful each and every day that his life was ultimately spared thanks to the quick action of his fellow soldiers and the grace of God.

The fact that my husband is still with us today is nothing short of a miracle, and I continue to be amazed by his tenacity battling back from these devastating injuries.

It hasn’t been an easy road though, . Especially not when Joe Biden disregarded the sacrifice of veterans like my husband when he abandoned the mission in Afghanistan.

That’s why, this year, I really want to show Brian that on the anniversary of his “Alive Day” his supporters are grateful of his sacrifice – even when Joe Biden isn’t.

So, I started up a card to give to Brian on his Alive Day. I know it’s going to lift his spirits when he sees just how many proud Americans appreciate his service for our nation.

Political failures may have caused the mission where Brian served to end in tragedy, but that doesn’t mean we can’t come together to send our well wishes to a veteran who nearly died fighting for our country 12 years ago.

Thank you for being a part of this kind gesture for my husband – I know he will appreciate it.

With care,
Brianna Mast

P.S. – As you may have seen from Brian’s father, we were also hoping we could help take some of the campaign fundraising obligations off of Brian’s plate during this important anniversary. If you have the means, will you pitch in to help my husband win his re-election so he can hold Joe Biden accountable for his Afghanistan failures and continue serving the nation he loves in Congress? Thank you again – this means a lot for our entire family. ([link removed])
