OK, team -- the midterms elections are now only a few weeks away. Here’s what you need to know about the GOP nominees for key secretary of state positions:

>>> In Arizona, we’ve got conspiracy theorist Mark Finchem. This is a guy who attended the Capitol riot on January 6th, has been a featured speaker at a QAnon conference, and recently accused Mike Pence of orchestrating a coup to unseat Donald Trump. The top of the ticket in Arizona is polling neck-and-neck -- deemed a toss-up by FiveThirtyEight -- so we need to work hard if we want to make certain Finchem is defeated.

>>> In Michigan, Kristina Karamo (the person who called abortion “child sacrifice,” thinks January 6th rioters were actually left-wing activists impersonating Trump supporters, and still questions the legitimacy of the 2020 election) will be on the ballot -- with 20% of Michigan voters still undecided on their choice.

>>> In Minnesota, the Republican nominee is Kim Crockett. Kim calls the 2020 election “the big rig” and likens it to the September 11th attacks. I think that’s enough said about that. If she wins this fall, she’ll run the vote in a state Democrats can’t afford to lose.

>>> In Nevada, Jim Marchant has pledged to completely overhaul elections should he win, getting rid of electronic voting machines, early voting, and mail-in voting. His predilection for voter suppression comes as no surprise after he lost a bid for Congress in 2020 by more than 16,000 votes and then blamed it on “fraud.” He actually went on to serve as one of Trump’s fake electors for Nevada, ready to override the will of the people.

Look: It’s safe to say that Donald Trump’s plot to install his cronies in election oversight roles in presidential battleground states is moving full speed ahead.

We still have time to stop him. But our worry (and Trump’s theory) is not enough people will pay attention to these races until it's too late.

So right now, before the midterm elections get a single moment closer, will you pitch in to The American SOS Project and help fund our work to defeat these extreme conspiracy theorists?
