John, I have an important update on our campaign to protect our democracy from the GOP. This is what you should know:

FIRST: The Associated Press reported that nearly one-third of Republican candidates across the country supported overturning the results of the 2020 election.

THEN: My extremist GOP opponent, Mark Ronchetti, is buddy-buddy with a far-right Republican who refused to certify the 2020 election results, attended the Jan. 6 insurrection, and said that “the only good Democrat is a dead Democrat.”

NOW: Free and fair elections – the cornerstone of our democracy – are at serious risk in New Mexico with Ronchetti running for office, so I need to raise $100,000 before my mid-month deadline tonight at midnight to defeat him.

There is absolutely no place for political violence at any level of American government. But with Republican PACs flooding Ronchetti's campaign with money, my message could be drowned out by the same hateful rhetoric that got Donald Trump elected.

So please, John, will you rush a donation of $5 – or whatever you can spare before my mid-month deadline tonight – to help keep these anti-democracy insurrectionists out of office and keep New Mexico blue? Your donation today could be what saves our democracy on Nov. 8.

Thank you so much for standing with us in the fight for fair elections.
