We‘ve launched an ambitious field program to register voters, show up for disenfranchised communities, and make sure all of our voices – from the hood to the holler – are heard this election. But we’re less than 10 weeks away from Election Day, and we have a lot of work to do.
We’ll dive into the details of our plans in just a moment. For years now, we’ve been organizing an unprecedented grassroots organizing movement across Kentucky and we need the resources to make sure we can finally end Rand Paul’s disastrous rule.
Let’s start by explaining the situation:
Truth is, there’s a long history of voter suppression in our Commonwealth, meaning the folks who don’t vote outnumber those who do. Black and brown communities in particular have long been counted out in our elections. Kentucky is also one of just a few states with a recently elected Democratic governor and two Republican senators.
But the tides are turning.
Recently, new progressive Democrats like Charles have invested in successful campaigns that mobilize communities our politicians have ignored for too long. From the hood to the holler, Charles is building a level of excitement and enthusiasm we haven’t seen in decades. He isn’t afraid to advocate for bold solutions to combat the climate crisis, police violence, and income inequality. He’s a proven leader who knows what challenges Kentuckians are going through because he’s been there himself.
That’s exactly the kind of candidate we need to defeat Rand Paul, and that’s exactly why we’re:
There are 120 counties in Kentucky and we want to invest in organizers and volunteers in every single one of them so we can leverage our grassroots power. We’re building the infrastructure we need to win, but we can’t do it without you.
