It’s sickening.

These completely legal killing machines -- like the AR-15 that killed my nephew and his classmates -- render the bodies of our children, our families, our fellow community members, so unrecognizable that they can only be identified through DNA testing or scraps of clothing left behind.

There is NO reason for assault weapons that can liquify the organs of their targets to remain available.

So many communities have already been devastated by these entirely preventable slaughters perpetrated by killers armed with weapons of war. It’s on all of us -- but ESPECIALLY our lawmakers and elected officials – to make sure that no other community faces these horrors.
