Republicans only need to flip one seat to take back the U.S. Senate — and two of their top targets are my friends and colleagues Senator Catherine Cortez Masto (D-Nevada) and Senator Maggie Hassan (D-New Hampshire).

Catherine and Maggie are both strong champions for abortion rights, and these elections are going to be tight: Maggie won her last race by just over 1,000 votes, Catherine won by just under 30,000 votes, and their polls are neck and neck this year.

National Republicans have tens of millions of dollars in the bank to spend on trying to defeat these two terrific Democratic senators. We can’t let them succeed — and Catherine and Maggie need our support today to fight back.

Just this week, when Republicans in Congress introduced a nationwide abortion ban, we got a big, red, flashing warning sign of what would happen if they take back power in Washington.

Catherine and Maggie are committed to ensuring the right to an abortion — and if we re-elect them this fall, expand our Senate majority by two more seats, and hold the House, we can make Roe the law of the land as early as January.

But they’re both running against anti-abortion rights extremists who fanned the flames of Donald Trump’s Big Lie after the 2020 election. And Mitch McConnell and his deep-pocketed allies will do everything they can to win these seats.
