The Latino community has consistently been one of the largest growing populations in our country, especially in key states such as Georgia, North Carolina, and Arizona. Across the United States, from 2010 to 2020 there was a 23% increase to 62.1 million Latinos, according to the Pew Hispanic Center. The Latino electorate is growing in incredible numbers with more than one million Latinos turning 18 each year. While the Latino community is incredibly diverse, key issues remain including quality public schools, good jobs, and access to higher education for students who may not have been born in the United States. There is no one-size-fits-all approach to how to engage Latinos given mixed heritages, immigration statuses, sexual orientations, physical abilities, income, education, and age groups. However, just as we approach mainstream communities, DFA is working to meet all Latinos where we are. We work to ensure Latinos - and all underrepresented groups - have the same opportunities to speak, be heard, create, grow, improve, contribute, and VOTE. It is with great pride that DFA celebrates diversity within our candidates, our staff, and our progressive values. Together we build people-powered political action to fight for inclusive policy at all levels of office in all 50 states. Con poder, - Christine Christine Senteno ![]() |
