This week, Republican Senator Lindsey Graham announced new legislation that would impose a nationwide abortion ban after 15 weeks.
If passed, even blue states would be subject to this new law, and it would validate some of the most extreme state-level abortion bans we’ve seen since the reversal of Roe v. Wade. Not to mention, the bill makes no exceptions for rape, incest, or to protect a woman’s life.
For months, Senator Graham and his party pretend to care about the states’ right to decide on the issue of abortion. Now, they want to impose a nationwide federal ban! It’s complete and total hypocrisy, John.
This bill is too extreme for Orange County, but you can bet our opponent Young Kim would back this bill. She has established her reputation as an anti-choice extremist. In fact, she earned an A+ rating from the same anti-choice group -- the Susan B. Anthony List -- that shared the spotlight with Sen. Graham at his press conference announcing this bill!
