Hi friend, I’ve seen many smart people in politics work hard and fight for the people. But when it comes to Don, very few compare. Don is always serving someone beyond himself. First, he served his country as a Captain in the Air Force. He supported families of military members killed in combat and helped them find peace. Then he served as an educator for over 20 years. Don was an assistant professor of aerospace studies at East Carolina University, instructing national security affairs and leadership courses and even taught inmates in our prisons. As a State Senator, Don helped his community overcome a hurricane’s intense damage, built broadband infrastructure, raised teacher pay, and helped expand access to quality health care for eastern North Carolina.
