The polls have closed and my friend, Maggie Hassan, is now officially the Democratic Nominee for U.S. Senate in New Hampshire. The 55-day countdown to defend this Democratic seat against Maggie’s Republican opponent begins tonight!

Maggie and I entered the Senate together in 2016 and it has been an honor and a pleasure to work with her over the past 6 years on a range of critical issues facing our country and our democracy. Now, with the primary behind her, Maggie and her team are looking to gather support for the fight ahead.

We can not afford to take anything for granted in New Hampshire. Maggie won her 2016 Senate campaign by a slim margin of just 1,017 votes. That's why I'm writing to ask if you are able to send a donation of any size to support Maggie and our campaign to defend the Senate majority over these final two months. Donate here: [link removed]

The GOP has already committed $53 million against Maggie, and that's just the beginning. But if there is one thing I know about my Senate colleague, it's that she never backs down from a fight.

Maggie first got involved in public service as an advocate for children with disabilities, like her son Ben, and through her time both as Governor and now Senator she has been a tireless champion for the people of New Hampshire.

We are fighting to protect our Senate majority — and ensure that Mitch McConnell and his extremist allies don’t regain control of the agenda. The stakes are too high to risk letting Republicans take back control.

So please, if you're able, pitch in to support Maggie and me today. Your help could make the difference this November.

All my best,

Chris
