It is with great pleasure that I announce my next steps, where I will continue working to secure America’s energy independence while protecting our natural resources. I have joined the America First Policy Institute ([link removed]) as Vice Chair of the Center for Energy and Environment alongside former Secretary of Energy and Texas Governor Rick Perry.
Washington, D.C. – The America First Policy Institute (AFPI) today announced the addition of former U.S. Ambassador Carla Sands as Vice Chair of the Center for Energy & Environment. Ambassador Sands will serve alongside former Secretary of Energy and former Texas Governor Rick Perry.

Ambassador Sands brings decades of private-sector and senior government experience, including as the Chairman & CEO of Vintage Capital Group and the U.S. Ambassador to the Kingdom of Denmark during the Trump Administration. During her time as Ambassador and in endeavors since leaving government, she has been a strong champion for restoring American energy independence and for creating an initiative that marshals American resources and innovation to quickly develop and transport American energy across the country and to our international allies.

“The America First Policy Institute is delighted to announce the addition of Ambassador Sands to the AFPI team. As the former U.S. Ambassador to Denmark, there are few people who have such a wealth of experience promoting energy policies that put our Nation first. Ambassadors Sands is one of the best and brightest minds in the movement and I am incredibly excited to work with her on shaping the America First movement well into the future,” said Linda McMahon, Chair of the Board at AFPI.

“We are thrilled to add yet another top White House official to our distinguished team at AFPI. Carla’s dedicated experience as U.S. Ambassador promoting energy independence and standing up against the outsourcing of American energy jobs will be vital to our movement as we work to restore American prosperity, growth, and security,” said Brooke Rollins, President and CEO of AFPI.
