John,
Public lands have long been a space for wildlife like bighorn sheep, bison, and grizzly bears to roam safe and free. Increasingly, wildlife are coming into direct conflict with livestock grazing on public lands—resulting in tragedies for both wildlife and ranchers.
We have a solution. And you can be a part of it by acting before our December 31 year-end deadline.
Our Adopt a Wildlife Acre program is one of the most unique and effective wildlife conservation programs in America, and with good reason: It fixes the conflict between ranchers and wildlife, voluntarily, fairly, and without politics.
Your gift of $30 today could adopt 6 acres for wildlife today and help bring an end to conflicts between wildlife and livestock — until December 31 it will have double the impact thanks to our Million Dollar Matching Gift Challenge!
What began as a small program has grown into a force of supporters just like you investing nearly $5 million dollars to convert more than 1.5 million acres of public grazing lands into conflict-free habitat, an area almost as big as Delaware.
We recently celebrated a huge win in Colorado by finalizing the retirement of 33,000 acres of domestic sheep grazing land high above Aspen in the Snowmass-Maroon Bells Wilderness Area. This will allow bighorn sheep to occupy this area without the risk of fatal disease transmitting between the species. And that’s not all. In 2019 alone, we eliminated conflicts on 200,000 acres—an area nearly the size of Rocky Mountain National Park.
Will you be part of our next win? Please donate $30 to support key programs like our Adopt a Wildlife Acre program before our Million Dollar Matching Gift Challenge ends on December 31.
Thank you for all that you do for wildlife.
