The Justice Department seized the phones of two top advisers to disgraced former president Donald Trump. According to New York Times' sources, roughly 40 subpoenas rained down over the last week on Trump world. The move marks an explosive escalation of the investigation into Trump’s efforts to subvert the 2020 election.

Trump’s visit to DC today prompted a lot of speculation. Is this why he was in DC? Is this just the tip of the iceberg?

These last few months have not been kind to Trump as his mistaken belief that he is above our laws has been rocked by reality.

Reporting from The Rolling Stone revealed that Trump was trying to protect documents that he believed would expose a “deep state” conspiracy against him involving the investigation of Russian involvement with his 2016 campaign.

It’s unclear if the documents that he hid from the government at his Mar-a-Lago estate are the same he claimed would prove a conspiracy, but the revelation gives a new glimpse into the further unraveling of a man who was never stable from the moment he lucked into the presidency.

Let's make believe for a moment that these documents could prove a conspiracy against Trump. His failure to use those documents to expose the conspiracy during the 2+ years that he illegally had them would only serve as a testament to his monumental incompetency.

We are in uncharted territory, and the power he wields with his base cannot be denied.
