It’s Disability Voting Rights Week [[link removed]] ! This is the time to make sure all people with disabilities are registered to vote and ready to make our voices heard! We know people with disabilities are affected by policies of all kinds, whether they have to do with COVID-19, reproductive rights, or education—that’s why it’s so important that we have a say.

Voting lets us choose who makes decisions around the issues that matter most to us, so make sure you’re prepared by celebrating Disability Voting Rights Week! Registering to vote is the first and biggest step—and we’re here to help! Register or check if you’re already registered here [[link removed]] . Once you’re registered, it’s time to make a plan. Whether you’re planning to vote by mail or thinking of ways to stay safe while voting in person, we have resources for you [[link removed]] . If you need accessible information about registering to vote in your state, or if you’re not sure whether your state allows you to vote, check out ASAN’s Easy Read 50 state guide [[link removed]] for more information. If your state requires a voter ID [[link removed]] , and you need help getting one, check out VoteRiders [[link removed]] . For more great information about voting with a disability, check out our voting resource list [[link removed]] , REV UP [[link removed]] , or SABE’s GoVoter Project [[link removed]]!

Still have questions? We’ll also be talking all about voting rights, in person and mail in voting, accessible voting options and more at our webinar Prepare to Vote 101: Making a Plan on Thursday, September 15 [[link removed]]!

We can make change for our communities when we vote. We can put leaders in place who will take on the issues that impact our lives, and the lives of those around us. Remember, our elected officials work for us [[link removed]] . Now’s your chance—get registered, make a plan, and spread the word [[link removed]] so our community can be heard!
