Dear john,

I hope you and your loved ones were able to enjoy a restful Labor Day weekend. As Congress heads back to Washington this coming week, I wanted to check in with some quick updates from my office.

This week, we observed Gun Violence Prevention Day of Action. I am proud to be a champion for common sense gun violence solutions to keep our families safe. You can take a look at my full statement below. I also released a video on the urgent need for sustained action on gun violence; you can click here to watch.

As we prepare for the fall season, I want to bring your attention to an upcoming event that is very close to my heart. On Thursday, November 10th, I will be hosting another Vietnam War Pinning Ceremony. These ceremonies have become such a special part of my service to Sixth District veterans, and I am honored to host this next ceremony just before Veterans Day. If you are a Sixth District Vietnam War veteran and you have not yet been honored at one of these ceremonies, please sign up today. Full eligibility rules and more information about past ceremonies is available on my website by clicking here

Though Congress will be back in session next week, my office is still open to you for any federal services you may need. To keep in touch with me, please feel free to send me a message at mcbath.house.gov/email-me. If you need help with a federal agency, please visit mcbath.house.gov/help-with-a-federal-agency, or call my office at (470) 773-6330.
