On Wednesday, I held a Telephone Town Hall with special guest Kim Elder, from the Social Security Administration's Dallas Regional Public Affairs Office to discuss Social Security and how my office can assist seniors who have questions or concerns about their Social Security payments. I enjoyed hearing everyone's questions and concerns – telephone town halls are a great way for me to hear directly from you and I look forward to holding more in the future. I'd like to thank everyone who participated, and if I was unable to get to your question, please feel free to contact my office. Yesterday, I joined Rep. Chip Roy's letter to the Secretary of Veterans Affairs requesting the VA provide a briefing to Congressional offices on the PACT Act’s implementation and how it will affect the casework process. In order to best assist the veterans of Texas-24, it is important the VA provide our offices with information as to how the PACT Act will affect veterans and their casework with the VA. You can read more about the letter here. If you are a veteran and have questions about how the PACT Act may affect you, please reach out to my office HERE. I spoke to aerospace and defense industry leaders on Thursday about how the Dallas-Forth Worth area is a hub for business, especially in the aerospace and defense industry. Hometown Hero of the Week Our Hometown Hero of the Week is Thomas Boothby for starting his nonprofit, Tools to Teach! On behalf of everyone in DFW, I’d like to thank Thomas for his work giving back to North Texas. Read more on Tools to Teach here. I would love to hear more stories from constituents who have worked to brighten our amazing North Texas community. If you or someone you know fits this description, be sure to fill out this short Texas-24 Hometown Hero survey so we can highlight their story. Rep.
