John- Here are two data points I want you to think about as we head into September: MARCH 2022 Republicans - 46 Democrats - 41 SEPTEMBER 2022 Democrats - 47 Republicans - 44 Those are polls - called generic congressional ballot tests - which ask a simple question to voters: which party would you rather see in control of Congress, Republicans or Democrats? In March, just six months ago, Republicans held a five point advantage in the generic congressional ballot over Democrats. But today, *Democrats* hold a three point advantage in the generic congressional ballot over Republicans. That is an eight point swing in favor of the Democrat Party for control of Congress in November. Think about the environment in which Democrats achieved this eight point swing in their favor: Inflation is the highest it’s been in decades. The typical family is paying $450 more per month to buy the same basic goods and services than they did a year ago. The historic border crisis continues to surge, with more than 4 MILLION illegal immigrants crossing our borders since Biden took office. And now, Mexican drug cartels are taking advantage of Biden’s open border policies to flood deadly fentanyl into our communities. Violent crime is rampant across America’s cities under liberal bail-reform policies that put repeat murderers and violent offenders back on our streets. In the midst of all of this, one would expect Republicans, not Democrats, to widen their lead when Americans are asked which party they would rather see in control of Congress. But, instead, the opposite has happened. The obvious question is: why? I think the answer is as obvious as the question itself: Americans *know* things are bad under Biden and the Democrats. They don’t want or need to be constantly reminded about the trouble they can see and feel and read for themselves. What they want and need are actual solutions, actual policy objectives from Republicans that articulate how Republican governance and conservative principles offer a better path forward for the country and their families. That’s exactly what I’m trying to do. When I launch messaging campaigns on these issues, I explain why having a Republican-controlled Congress will help get our country back on track. I highlight how Republicans will be a check on the rampant spending from the Biden administration, that we will block any attempts to raise taxes, redistribute wealth, or use taxpayer dollars as bribes for votes. I outline an agenda on border security, where we will put commonsense border security bills on the floor of the House of Representatives and dare President Biden to veto them - legislation to give our Border Patrol more resources to secure our border… to fix the loopholes in our asylum process that encourage illegal immigration… to reimplement policies that prioritize deporting illegal immigrants instead of releasing them into our country. And I prioritize giving more funding to our local police officers and less leeway for liberal prosecutors and judges to turn a blind eye to violent crime. Americans also want to be inspired by the Republican Party… they don’t want to hear the same doom and gloom rhetoric that they deal with enough as their reality under full-Democrat control of Washington. They want to know the conservative movement is a place to point their children as a party of inspiration and hope and encouragement. That’s why I hold my Youth Summit every single year in Texas, drawing thousands of young people from across the country to hear from an all-star lineup of speakers. This event is not replete with the same red-meat, over-the-top rhetoric you hear at traditional political conferences… and it’s for anyone on the political spectrum whether they are already a diehard conservative or simply open and curious to the ideas of conservatism. Children and their parents walk away from this summit every year feeling uplifted and inspired, not angry and pessimistic. And Americans want candidates on the Republican ticket who focus on the real issues they are facing and approach them with a sense of optimism instead of outrage. They want an alternative to vote for, someone who is not focused on personality or party politics but rather the everyday, real problems families are discussing every night at their dinner tables. That’s why I spend my time and resources traveling across the country campaigning for common sense conservatives who can win in swing districts in swing states like Colorado and Michigan and Texas - people who will go to Congress and legislate instead of bloviate. All of these efforts take money, a lot of it. And while other politicians might stash their donations away in some campaign “war chest,” I immediately use the donations I gratefully receive to grow our conservative movement, offer an alternative vision to voters, and ensure Republicans are in the strongest possible position to win up and down the ballot in November. Why do I do this? Because if you’re committed enough to send your hard-earned money to me, I feel an obligation to be just as committed to putting your money to a good, tangible cause. The “red wave” we all hear about isn’t something that’s just going to magically happen; it’s something we’re going to have to earn. I am committed to earning it and I know you are too. If you are able to, and agree with this mission I laid out, I ask that you donate to my campaign at the link below. Any amount helps. We’re going to win in November with committed patriots like you. Thank you sincerely for your support and generous donation. God bless you and God bless America. DONATE. GET IN THE FIGHT TO END DEMOCRAT-CONTROL OF WASHINGTON.
