It’s fun when political leaders and celebrities like Mark Ruffalo support our work publicly, but what you may not know is that Mark has been a DFA member for over a decade and in that time he’s worked with DFA members on the issues and candidates that matter.
I remember it was a big deal when Mark endorsed our campaign with MoveOn early in 2015 as we encouraged Elizabeth Warren to #RunWarrenRun.
In 2018, Mark helped us organize hundreds of thousands of calls to voters in support of our successful campaign to flip the House and elect critical progressive women from Katie Porter to Rashida Tlaib!
In 2019, Mark joined us in building early support for the Green New Deal and Medicare For All as we pushed back against the destruction of unions and wealth inequality.
And of course, in 2020, he was all-in with us in the fight to defeat Donald Trump.
Mark has worked closely with DFA on tough campaigns over the years because, like you, he knows that in these critical times, it’s up to each one of us to take action in every way we can.
As Mark always says, never forget that hope finds its strength in action.
