☕ Labor Day Recap ☕

Atlanta DSA was busy leading up to Labor Day! On Monday, we were joined by friends form Teamsters, Unite Here, and more at our Solidarity Labor Day Sip-In at the Howell Mill Starbucks! We had a great turnout and flooded the store, ordering coffees under the name "Union Yes" to show support to the workers. The Howell Mill store has won their union election, but the bargaining fight has only begun!

Plus, last week, around 30 Google Cafeteria workers at Midtown office walked presented their boss with a list of demands including higher wages and more. We joined the workers and Unite Here outside to flyer and spread the word on the worker's fight to form a union! Read more about it on RedClayComrade.org!

📖 Book Club 📖

Tonight! Atlanta DSA's Book Club explores a range of topics in socialist theory. In our biweekly meetings, we discuss big picture ideas about history, economics, and politics.

This month's meetings will be September 8th & 22nd at 8:00PM!

📝Protect Abortion Rights in Georgia📝

Abortion is a Human Right graphic

On Sept. 21st, the DeKalb County Commission will vote on a resolution to decriminalize abortion — making the prosecution of abortions the lowest priority for DeKalb County Police and prohibiting the aiding of other police departments on abortion cases.

You can make your voice heard by contacting your county commissioner and by signing our petition to pass the Reproductive Freedom Act to ensure safe and equitable abortion access for all Georgians.
