Hey there, John-

I’ve got some exciting news. Today, we’re rolling out a new look for the Young Democrats of America, including a new wordmark logo, new color palette, new typography, and new motto. This look reflects not only who we are as an organization, but where we’re headed while being true to who we’ve been.

It starts with the wordmark logo, the cornerstone of our brand. Built from the Roc Grotesk typeface, its boldness pays homage to the previous logo, while its modernity and simplicity paves the way forward. It stands out among other logos in our space but is unapologetically Democratic. 

The color palette and typography compliment the wordmark. A signature blue color — what we’re calling Young Blue — cements the brand as young and energetic, with a reinforcing Modern White and Blue Black. A Golden Yellow, Burnt Red, and Electric Green bring the brand out of the expected without sacrificing context. And, our adopted typefaces — Roc Grotesk and IvyPresto Display — bring our organization into the twenty-first century, without being too far outside of mainstream political design. 

Lastly, our motto — Progress Can’t Wait — is our organization’s guiding principle. It reminds us that the work we do to bring about a more progressive America is not only good but urgent. 

In the coming days, weeks, and months, you’ll see all of this in action. In it, I hope you find a renewed sense of energy, power, and hope for the work we do.
